I don't own one personally. But we have a low roof passenger at my work that I drive and I have driven the medium roof. IMO I'd go medium roof all day. Kind of the same thought with a trailer, you will always want more room. I am 6' and the ability to stand in the medium roof makes all the difference, as well as a lot more room for gear.

The medium roof passenger makes for a perfect crew van platform. I just picked up a high roof extended length transit about 3 weeks ago.

About to start building it out. I was originally planning on getting the medium roof extended model, but this one was too good of a deal to pass up. It has the ecoboost engine in it - the computer says it's getting 16 mpg at the moment. I really haven't driven it much yet to see how accurate that is, but I assume it won't change much. This ecoboost engine rips - it's got a ton of power and is fun to drive.

I'm glad I ended up with the high roof because I have some ideas on how to build some shallow cabinets up top that I think will come in real handy. I originally tried buying one and my bank (navy federal) wouldn't do the loan since they considered it commercial. So went with a f250 my boy tried to buy one also through our credit union. They said no also saying it was for business!

I would just go through Ford credit at the dealer. Wrote: This is the one I plan on getting. 2015 medium roof, 148 wheel base, 3.5 eco boost, 11k miles. They just lowered it from 27,420 to 25,980. Then there's like $350 in fees, so would be like $26,300 OTD dilevered. No tax since I'm trading in a 17 f250 that's worth more (loosing quite a bit lol) Hopefully I can finance through one of there people at a decent rate.

I financed mine through a local credit union. I tried to get it done through my bank, and they wouldn't do it because it was a 'commercial vehicle'. Screw the big banks, I went into the local credit union, which I wasn't even a member of, and they had the loan approved in about 20 minutes.

I know you said you had problems with Navy Federal, is there a different credit union or smaller, local bank in your area that you could try? One thing that might help - I told them that I was going to title it in my name as a private vehicle, so whether or not it was commercial when I bought it, it would be private when I got it. I'm not sure if that had any impact on their ability to finance it, but it can't hurt.
